Public Involvement Opportunities

Project Planning Phase (2007-2008)
RFTA's public outreach program in 2007 and 2008 to inform and solicit feedback. The program included development of a fact sheet and brochure, newspaper articles, presentations to community groups, and two rounds of open-house meetings. The feedback received was an important part of developing the planned components of the BRT service.

 

Advanced Planning and Project Development Phase (2009-2010)

Recent public meetings were conducted along the 40 mile BRT Route. This included meetings at the following locations:

  • Glenwood Springs Area
  • Aspen / Snowmass Area
  • Basalt Area
  • Carbondale Area

Future public outreach in 2010 includes:

  • Environmental Assessment Review
  • Final Station Design
  • Local community coordination
  • RFTA Board updates
